94th Aerosquadron Restaurant, 5030 Sawyer Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43219. Telephone: 614-237-8887. Every Thursday the 17 piece Rick Brunetto Big Band plays at the 94th Aerosquadron Restaurant in Columbus. (The band has played there for 18 years running.) Dancing on Thursday nights starts at 8 p.m., but there is no lesson prior to dancing. On Fridays, a DJ plays a variety of music; dancing on Fridays lasts from 8 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $4/non-dinner guests or free for dinner guests. This restaurant is located extremely close to the Columbus International Airport and you can often see planes landing and taking off. While the size of the dance floor is very modest and the decor of the restaurant is a bit tired and outdated, the band on Thursdays is excellent and the atmosphere is welcoming. This dance area features an older crowd, but occasionally folks from the Ohio State University Swing Club will swing by and liven things up a bit. Check out the restaurant's website at http://www.94thaero.com/

ARGENTINA
Buenos Aires
The CITA Tango Festival in Buenos Aires. This festival offers a week long series of workshop instruction in the Argentine Tango. I went for a series of workshops in 2002. http://www.cosmostango.com
As Buenos Aires is the capital and birthplace of tango, you can find multiple milongas in the city. There are also other tango festivals besides the CITA Tango Festival that you might consider attending. If you go to Buenos Aires, pick up a copy of the Buenos Aires Herald at a sidewalk newsstand in Buenos Aires. The Herald gives locations and times of various milongas held around the Buenos Aires area. (As used here, milonga means "Argentine Tango dance.") One of the milongas I went to while there was located at Nino Bien.
